Laura Leppert (*1993) is an artist, filmmaker and researcher currently based in Berlin and Munich.
Her multidisciplinary practice meanders between video, installation, text, sculpture and sound.
Physical and mental architectures our society produces are the main hinge her works revolve around.
Narratives that show themselves as script, ideal image, obsessions, progress saga, program,
wish or plot device are particularly thrilling to her. Built and filmic spaces she constructs as
fragmentary, ever becoming and never finished, in which borders between subject and object are constantly
blurred. Things and architectures become characters, objects circulate in space. Laura is searching for
a non-linear way of narrating, which refuses to be efficient, and that moves from micro to macro as
hallucinatory wanderings through cultural signs and emblematic places.
