The motifs of Chimeric Citizens take as their source evidence photographs from airports' customs,
focusing on instances people carried endangered animals close to their bodies to bypass detection.
This almost intimate closeness is proposed as a prior stage to chimeric fusions generating deities,
yet shows an already entagled state of human and non-human beings.

The camera as the remote eye of the human species is carried to territories humans have left - or have never reached.
Those cameras, in a sense of non-anthropocentric Cinéma Verité, show filmic space transformed by
unfamiliar bodies, by animal and machinic rhythms. Strapped to animal bodies and cosmis rovers,
their movements are not centered on human understanding and show a very own access to the surrounding world.
Intertwined urban structures of airports, the polar sea and abandoned interiors like sensor-operated
smart homes become the landscapes for a re-conquest.

The soundtrack is an atmospheric ambient composed of morphed animal voices, remote technological signal noises
and bodily sounds, where humans and more-than-human beings melt together acoustically.
